Many monuments from bygone times, especially on the coast and in the Andes, bear witness to an eventful history in Peru. Not only the Incas are to be thought of here. There were many other advanced civilizations such as the Chimus, Nascas, Chachapoyas, Uros, Chavin, Caral, Tiahuanaco, Chavin, Moche, Paracas, Vicus, Huari.
